December 12, 2021 -Monthly Match

With the weather turning colder, only Bulldog and Doc Bandit showed up to brave the elements.  Turnout that the weather was quite nice with the temperature being a balmy 37deg when they finished.  As a sided note: Bulldog had breakfast that day,  with 2 of our club member (who will remain nameless at this time) that had decided NOT to shoot due to the cold weather. Six stages where shot and they were done by noon.  The scoring system was modified to only count misses.  Doc Bandit managed to win by having the least number of misses  with Bulldog coming in a close 2nd.   Hopefully we will have more have a better turn out next time.

November 28, 2021 -Monthly Match

With the weather unusually warm, 9 cowboy arrived at the range to have a fantastic match.

November 14, 2021 -Monthly Match

Due to weather only 2 cowboys showed up for the match.

Rain was present early in the morning. However, by match time, the weather had improved and we ended having great match attended by 5 cowboys.

September 12, 2021 -Monthly Match

In spite of it being  perfect weather for shooting, only 6 cowboys showed for the match.  Also only 2 cowboys came prepared to shoot Wild Bunch therefore it was integrated into several stages.  The match started of with multiple malfunctions and errors which sparked discussion of ending the match after 2 stages.  However, everyone continued  and things smoothed out to some degree.  By the end, everyone seemed to have had a good time.

August 22, 2021 -Monthly Match

Near perfect weather greeted everyone (10 regulators)  as they got together to protect the west.   Six stages were shot with minimal complaints about the stage writers.   It was subjected that we congratulate any cowboy that shoots a clean match.   This week, Sage Rat takes that honor home.  On the flip side, Doc Bandit takes the dubious honor of having the most penalty seconds  added to his score ( for a total of 60 seconds ).  Now if he could just stop messing up and start hitting the target, he would give Ridge Runner a run for his money.

IMPORTANT NOTICE;   At our next match ( Sept 12th ) we will be doing 4 stage of Cowboy Action Shooting followed by 2 stages of Wild Bunch.   They will be scored separately so do one or both.   Come prepared to have  a great day of action shooting.

August 8, 2021 -Monthly Match

The weather was much more cooperative with cooler temperatures.  So many cowboys showed up that we had to divide into two possies to keep the match moving.   RD received his share of negative comment on the stage he wrote.  It is yet to be determined if he will be allowed to write a stage in the future.  However, since memories are short, I am sure he will get a chance again.

July 25, 2021 -Monthly Match

A very hot day greated 11 cowboys.  After 4 stage, it was decided to call it a day and most cowboys went home.  However, the really tough cowboys stayed and shot 2 more stages.

July 11, 2021 -Monthly Match

Even though the weather was hot,  10 cowboys and 1 cowgirl ( 11 cow people/cowpersons?) showed up for a day of fun.  Six stages were shot with everyone having a great time.  See you next time.

Elections for club officers were held.   After counting the votes (and yes all the votes were counted), Oddman retained his rule as president and with Idaho Dutchman continuing as Secretary/Treasurer.  Bulldog was also elected as the new vice president.  On a sad note, Slamfire (former VP) will be moving to Florida later this summer.  We will miss him as he has been a big part of our club.  Hopefully he will continue his cowboy action shooting and get a little surfing in too.  We wish the best of luck to him.

With summer weather here, 14 cowboys and cowgirls came out to enjoy a great day of shooting.  In fact, there was a VERY brief discussion about giving Ridge Runner a spirit of the game penalty for having "to much fun".

Since the weather was a bit more questionable only 4 cowboys responded to the call to defend the west.   Six stages were shot quickly  and we were done by high noon.    See you there next time.

April 11, 2021 -Monthly Match
 
Weather continues to be great which brought out 12 cowboys/cowgirls out to the range.   Even Hoss Face showed up.  Turns out that it was his 66th birthday and Ridgerunner and Patty Cake brought fixings for a party which we had between stages 4 and 5.
There was a very brief discussion of subtracting 66 sec from birthday boy's  score but since he won any way, if was quickly dropped.

March 28, 2021 -Monthly Match

Improving weather brought 9 cowboys out to defend the west.  On a positive note, Oddman "found" his revolvers.  On a somewhat negative note, they were right where he had left them.  At least now he doesn't have any excuse to come out and shoot.   See you next time.

March 14, 2021 -Monthly Match

Another near perfect day, brought out more cowboys from winter hibernation, for a grand total of eight.  Oddman acted as RO since he "claimed" that he could not find his revolvers.  Hope he can find them by next match.   Good to see everyone there

February 28 , 2021 -Monthly Match

Finally the weather started to warm up and we had a stampede (?) of cowboys ( a total of 6 ) coming out to shoot along with Oddman to act as RO.   In spite of numerous equipment failures,  6 stages were shoot and everyone had a great time.

There was some discussion of the unofficial  " under 40 rule  " which states that certain cowboys don't come out to shoot if the temperature is less than 40 deg.    Not wanting cause these less than hardy cowboys undue stress,  they will remain anonymous at this time.  ( however, you can likely figure it out by looking at the previous posts and scores )

February 14, 2021 -Monthly Match

Due to the weather, only 2 cowboy showed up for the match.  Oddman's email says it all "Great shoot Id.Dutchman and Oddman I won shot more bullets, little overcast temp in the low 20 s see you in a couple of weeks no snow Sunday but got 5 inches today"  Guess more of us should of showed up

January 24, 2021 -Monthly Match

Three cowboys showed up for great day of shooting ( any day you are shooting is a great day!!! ).   Only Idaho Dutchman and Doc Bandit shot a match with both of them winning their categories.  However, no total scores were kept.  See you at the next shoot.

January 10, 2021 -Monthly Match

Again, only a few cowboys showed up in defend the west.  Since Doc Bandit was the only shooter to do a match, he maintained his title as number one.  Maybe next time he will have some competition.
