December 23, 2018 -Monthly Match

Three inches of new snow was on the ground as four hardy cowboy showed up to defend the west from outlaws. ( I know it sounds dramatic, but the truth must be told ).   Turned out to be a good day for shooting, even though there were a number of equipment malfunctions. Still,  everyone left with a smile on their face.  There where several wimpy cowboys that did NOT show up to the match ( most likely due to weather ).  Not wanting to publicly shame them ( after all, this could damage their self esteem ) , they will remain anonymous.

No scores were kept as everyone shot their own stages, allowing everyone to be able to brag that they won their match.

November 11, 2018 -Monthly Match

Even though fall was in the air and there was some snow on the ground, it turned into a great day for shooting.  Doc Bandit started the match strong with a 29.12 second stage (who said lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place-see Aug 12 comments ) but began to fade as the match progressed.  On the other hand, Badger Den started slow and picked up speed as the match progressed.  However, it still wasn't enough, failing to catch Doc Bandit, he come in second.

October 14, 2018 -Monthly Match

It looked like the rain would washout the shoot but by 10:00AM the rained stop we has a great shoot even though only three cowboys showed up.   One cowboy was so excited that he forgot that he had shot the first pistol and then couldn't figure out why there where no loaded rounds in his gun when he was to shoot the 2nd pistol ( to protect the innocent, I will not mention the name of the cowboy )

August 12, 2018 -Monthly Match

The weather cooled down just in time for the shoot.  Six cowboys showed up and we had a great time.  Slamfire was complaining that he was always came in last.  So for this shoot, it was decided that the high score was the winner.  Congratulation to Slamfire for a fine shoot.  Also, Badger Den got a procedural on one stage but he had the lowest score, so we don't feel to sorry  for him.  It should be noted that on the last stage, Doc Bandit got a sub 30 second stage with a score of 29.98 seconds.  This is one the the few ( if only ) time he has showed such speed and skill.

July 22, 2018 -Monthly Match

Summer is finally here with clear, hot weather.  Eight cowboys showed up with the stages being written by Oddman and Badger Den.  As luck would have it, Badger Den got a procedural on the 2nd stage that he wrote.  Hopefully the"Curse" has move to Badger Den from Doc Bandit who did not get a procedural for the match.  Time will tell.

It's that time of year again.  Election of officers ( or reelection as the case may be ) and Membership/Renewal are due July 1.  Membership Forms are now available at the shoot or may be downloaded HERE.

June 10, 2018 -Monthly Match

The weather was threatening but 7 cowboys still showed up to play.  Looks like Doc Bandit is at it again and the "Curse" is back.  The only stage that he wrote, he got a procedural on and Badger Den won again.  Maybe some day he will learn.

Being mothers day, only 5 cowboys showed up with 4 shooting.  The weather was perfect for the six stages that were shot.  Doc Bandit hopefully has finally broken the curse  and shot the match without a procedural.  We will see next time.

April 22, 2018 -Monthly Match

With spring finally here, the weather was perfect for a shoot.  Seven cowboys showed up including one visitor ( Ro Dock).  Slamfire and Bull Dog also came after taking the winter off.  Even though Badger Den wasn't at the last match, he won by a large margin.  Who says that you have to practice to win.   Doc Bandit did show some improvement.  He still got a procedural on one stage, but at least it wasn't one that he wrote.  Maybe next time.

April 8, 2018 -Monthly Match

With the weather looking questionable, only 3 cowboy showed up to shoot with Badger Den staying home.  Turned out to be a good day with just a little rain after we finished.

March 25, 2018 -Monthly Match

With spring here, it was hoped that the weather would be better.  But, it was not to be.  However, 4 cowboys did showed up and 6 stages were shot.  Thing went well except that Doc Bandit AGAIN (4 times in the last 5 shoots) got a procedural on the stage that he wrote.  This trend is getting to be of concern.  Doc may have to consider not writing any stages in the future to avoid this rather embarrassing situation.  See you at the next shoot.

March 11, 2018 -Monthly Match

Even with a good weather, only 3 cowboys showed up to shoot. Six stages were shot with Doc Bandit again getting a procedural  on the first stage that he wrote. ( way to go Doc !!!!! ).  Hope to see more shooter next match.

No match was shot due to poor weather.

February 11, 2018 -Monthly Match

The day started cold but warmed up a bit when the sun started shining.  Four cowboys showed up with three shooting.  Everyone that stayed home, missed a great day of shooting.

January 28, 2018 -Monthly Match

Just 2 cowboys showed up for shooting.  We had a modified scoring system with just keeping track of misses.  Doc Bandit had 9 misses (include a procedural on a stage he designed) and Idaho Dutchman with 11 misses.

 

January 14, 2018 -Monthly Match

Even with snow on the ground, 3 cowboys showed up to have some fun.  Even though no official total score was kept, we did time each stage.  Doc Bandit wrote the first stage and managed to get a procedural on it. (not a good way to start the day)  He did however, finish the match with the best score of the day.  Badger Den was convinced that he was going to mess up one the the stages (he didn't) and he likely finished first.   See everyone in 2 weeks.
