Again, the weather was cool but not cold with an overcast sky making it a great day to shoot.  Doc Bandit and Mayhem showed up for the match.  They decided not to keep timed scores but just count missed with the cowboy having the lowest number of misses wining.  After 6 stages, the score was even with five misses each.  For the final stage, the pressure was too great for Doc Bandit and he ended up with 3 misses.  Mayhem shot it clean making him the winner.  Oddman showed up about the time we finished and shot one stage.

The weather had a definite winter feel keeping almost everyone home even though it reached a balmy 34 degs.  But this didn't stop Doc Bandit from showing up.  He started at 10:00 AM sharp and finished by 10:35 AM after shooting 8 stages.  Competition was high but he still managed to win the match.  About the time the match was finished, Oddman showed up but didn't shoot.   Hope to see at least a few more cowboys at the next match.

The fear of bad weather kept everyone away from shooting a cowboy match except for Doc Bandit. Turned out the weather was great.  He shot 8 quick stages and managed to win the match.  While he was shooting, 3 cowboys showed up to do a little target shooting with those newfangled semiautomatic rifles ( I am sure they will never catch on).  See everyone at the next match.

Weather was perfect for a day of shooting.  Ten cowboys came out to play with stiff competition between Ranger Six and Mayhum for first place.  Everyone else was way behind but still had a great day.   See you next shoot.

A hot day was forecast which likely kept most of the cowboys inside next to their air conditioners.  Four cowboy did show up and shot 6 stages and were done by noon.

Even though we had great weather, only 8 cowboy came out to play.  Six stages were shot including 2 infamous stages by Blue. Doc Bandit didn't want to be left out the fun and wrote a stage that tried to rival Blue's but didn't succeed  Hope to see you next shoot.  Don't forget the Summer hour:  Sign in at 8:30 and Start a 9:00 AM.

Here are the shoots for June:

 

9 June -Don’t forget that we move to summer hours. Sign up is at 8:30am and we shoot at 9am

22 June -Muzzleloader/black powder shoot. Please contact Max for more information.

23 June -Regular shoot. Sign up at 8:30am and shoot at 9am

30 June -Wild Bunch shoot. Slamfire’s Comedy of Errors with 4 stages. BBQ potluck afterwards. Please read SASS rules regarding Wild Bunch.

-Elections are this month. Please step up and help the club.

-Dues are due this month: $100 per year (renewal form HERE) or $10 per shoot (if you don’t want to be a member) 

-We really need to schedule a range cleanup day! If you have a date please reply all so we can figure out a day that will work.

The weather was forecast to be good however, we did manage to have a few raindrops during the match.  Six cowboys showed up to play with 5 finishing the match.  We had a new shooter, Fireside Fife showup.  He enjoyed the match and hopefully he will show up again.   See ya all next time.

Finally the weather cooperated with warm day for shooting.   Twelve cowboys showed up to play with 10 finishing the match.  Welcome back to the shooters that have been hibernating all winter.

Bad weather was AGAIN forecast for the day.  Seem like the weather has been against us shooting this year.  In spite of that, 3 cowboys showed including a new shooter, Panhandle Gem.  This was his first cowboy shoot.  He thoroughly enjoyed it and I think we have him hooked on the sport.   Six stages were shoot and the first scores of the season were recorded.

March 10, 2024

Bad weather was again forecast for the day thus keeping most cowboy in doors.  Oddman, Idaho Dutchman and a visitor did show up.  Doc Bandit was planning to show up but was sick that morning.  It turned out that the weather was not as bad as forecast.   Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative on March 24th.  See you  there.

February 25, 2024

A storm was forecast that sounded like it would impact the shooting match.  However, Doc Bandit did not let that prevent him from showing up at 10:00 AM to find no other cowboys at the range.  Turn out that it was a great day for shooting with the temperature at 40 degrees, overcast sky, no wind and no rain.  He shot 9 stages (would of shot more but ran out of ammo).  He was finished by 11:00 AM and left before the rain started.

​

So mark your calendars for March 10 and plan to show up to the range and have some fun. Please note that Daylight Savings starts that day.

January 28, 2024

Rain was forecast for the day which must of kept almost all of the cowboys in doors.  Doc Bandit showed up and shot 6 quick stages easily winning the match (he would like some competition next time).  One visitor showed up who was interested in Cowboy Action Shooting.  He shot a stage and may be back for more when he gets his gear.

​

Hopefully, more cowboys will show up for the next match.   See you then.
